چکیده
This review presents a comprehensive summary of the current understanding US-sensitive drug delivery systems for controlled release and activation. The typical mechanisms main factors affecting ultrasonic responsiveness carriers are summarized. Representative examples US-controlled activation highlighted. Finally, an outlook on this promising therapeutic strategy is provided.

Transformable Peptide Nanocarriers for Expeditious Drug Release and Effective Cancer Therapy via Cancer‐Associated Fibroblast Activation
A novel cleavable amphiphilic peptide (CAP) was designed to be specifically responsive to fibroblast activation protein-α (FAP-α), a protease specifically expressed on the surface of cancer-associated fibroblasts. The CAP self-assembled into fiber-like nanostructures in solution, while the presence of hydrophobic chemotherapeutic drugs readily transformed the assemblies into drug-loaded spheric...
متن کاملDrug Therapy for Small Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
Dear Editor,Abdominal aortic aneurysm is often asymptomatic, less recognized, and causes considerable mortality and morbidity, if missed. The incidence varies from country to country and the occurrence is influenced by modifiable (smoking, coronary heart disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and prolonged steroid therapy) and non-modifiable risk factors (increasing age, male gender, and positive...
متن کاملDrug Repurposing for Cancer Therapy.
In the mid-1980s, a French company geared its efforts toward developing a synthetic steroid capable of blocking the glucocorticoid receptor in order to potentially treat Cushing’s syndrome. Preclinical studies revealed that the compound developed, termed RU-38486, was indeed a potent antiglucocorticoid agent [1], yet with a caveat: if given to pregnant animals, it terminated pregnancy [2-4]. Th...
متن کاملpH Sensitive Hydrogel Based Acrylic Acid for Controlled Drug Release
Hydrogels, due to their unique potentials such as high-water content and hydrophilicity are interest for the controlled release of drug molecules. The present study aims to create a controlled-release system through the preparation and characterization of hydrogels based on pH-sensitive polymers such as poly (acrylic acid). Poly (acrylic acid), p(AA), hydrogel has been synthesized by radical po...
متن کاملSynthesis of magnetically active interpenetrating polymer network for drug release
Interpenetrating polymer networks (IPN) were formed involving hydrophobic polybutyl acrylate (PBA) and hydrophilic poly hydroxyethyl acrylate (PHEA). PBA prepolymer was first formed in presence of ferric oxide nanoparticles (
